Organized by Banco Delta Asia and co-organized by the Macao SME Association, the seminar “Heart to Heart: Opening the Path to Mental Well-being Through Communication” was recently held at the Millennium Hall of Yuet Wah College, Macao. The event attracted parents, educators and members of the public concerned about adolescent mental health.
The seminar aimed to promote mental well-being among adolescents and families by exploring practical ways to cope with stress and emotional challenges. In his welcome speech, Mr. Stanley Au, Chairman of Delta Asia Financial Group highlighted the importance of collective efforts in addressing mental health issues and encouraged young people to seek help and support when facing difficulties.
Three experts shared their insights during the seminar. Ms. Yuki Cheong from Caritas emphasized the importance of understanding and acceptance in communicating with adolescents, as well as early identification of warning signs. Mr. Anthony Leong, a senior family health consultant, stressed the role of a stable family environment in supporting young people’s mental health. Dr. Francesca Sin, Director of La Violet Charity Foundation and founder of Gift Love, introduced practical breathing and mindfulness exercises to help manage emotions.
The seminar raised public awareness of adolescent mental health and demonstrated Banco Delta Asia’s commitment to corporate social responsibility. We will continue to organize initiatives to support the well-being of the Macao community.
