Miss Lai-Chong Au, Chief Executive Officer of Delta Asia Financial Group, was invited by the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Macao to serve as a guest lecturer on 3 October 2025. Speaking in the session titled “From Boardroom to Lecture: Practice Meets Theory,” she addressed third-year Economics students, sharing her extensive management experience, providing in-depth analysis of future development trends in the financial industry, and offering forward-looking insights on entrepreneurship.

This lecture represents one of Delta Asia’s key initiatives in fulfilling its corporate social responsibilities and actively nurturing local financial talent. During her presentation, Miss Au drew upon her valuable experience leading Delta Asia to clearly explain the practical operational models of the banking industry and its core role in driving social-economic development.

“It was a great honor to engage with the faculty and students at the University of Macao,” said Miss Au. “I hope this sharing session helped the students bridge the gap between textbook theory and a practical understanding of how the financial industry operates and its significant contributions to society.” She emphasized that Delta Asia, as a financial institution rooted in Macao, places a high priority on talent development and is committed to providing solid support for cultivating Macau’s future financial pillars.

During the lecture, Miss Au further discussed the financial prospects of Hong Kong and Macao, the unique characteristics of Macao’s banking system, and shared how Banco Delta Asia is navigating current global economic challenges and embracing fintech innovation. She also shared her personal passion for corporate social responsibility and her experience founding “Second Stage,” which strengthens sustainable social development by supporting impact investment projects.

She left the students with this message: “Macao holds a unique position in the regional and even global financial landscape. I hope my experience will inspire you to consider your future career development with a broader perspective, to participate in building our local financial sector, and to seize the vast opportunities presented by the Greater Bay Area and international markets.”

Delta Asia Financial Group firmly believes that the transfer of knowledge and the cultivation of talent are crucial for driving industry progress. In the future, the Group will continue to actively support local academic and educational activities, contributing to the development of a robust talent pool for the financial industry in Macao and the Greater Bay Area by sharing industry expertise.
