Miss Lai Chong Au, CEO of Delta Asia Financial Group, attended the Children’s Heart Foundation’s Academic Awards Ceremony on 13 September. This year marks the nineth anniversary of Delta Asia’s collaboration with CHF, sponsoring nearly 100 award-winning students through this program.
Miss Au remarked, “Having a healthy heart may seem like a given, but for children with heart conditions, life’s challenges begin from birth. They complete homework from their sickbeds and catch up on studies after surgeries, proving through their actions that difficulties are not obstacles but opportunities for growth. Through this academic awards program, we aim to encourage and recognize every child’s effort, progress and perseverance. Let them bravely explore, move forward with determination, and shine brightly.”
Miss Au added, “This summer, Delta Asia also partnered with the CHF to organize two money workshops for the youth. With a special edition of the Delta Asia Monopoly board game, nearly 30 students learned basic financial concepts through play, developing a proper understanding of money and laying a wise foundation for life choices. Education is just as important as health where financial literacy is an indispensable part of nurturing future generations.”

Children’s Heart Foundation (CHF) was set up on 10th November 1994 by a group of concerned parents and volunteers. It was founded as a registered charitable organisation devoted to supporting children suffering from congenital heart disease and their families. The running of the organization is entirely dependent on donations. Dependent on donation from the public and corporate, the CHF organizes various of fund-raising activities to support all its charitable services. The CHF provides wide range of service like financial support for treatment; purchasing medical equipment; counseling service, arranging oversea surgeons to come to Hong Kong; overnight accommodation for parents of the hospitalized children; and organizing regular educational, developmental, and supporting programs, etc.
