Delta Asia kicks off its 90th anniversary celebration with a glamourous lighting ceremony and an interactive industry forum
Delta Asia kicked off its 90th anniversary celebration with a glamorous lighting ceremony on 12 November, followed by an economic and investment forum held at the Galaxy International Convention Centre in Macau.
The lighting ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, including Mr. Ho Hau Wah, Vice-chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Dr. Chan Sau San, Chairman, Monetary Authority of Macau, Mr. Ho Ion Sang, Member of the Legislative Assembly of Macau and Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Mr. Ip Sio Kai, Chairman of The Macau Association of Banks, Mr. Wang Chun Xin, Deputy Head of the Chief Executive’s Policy Unit (CEPU), Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), and Professor Edward Chen, Honorary Professor of HKU Business School.
Banco Delta Asia Chairman Mr. Stanley Au welcomed all the guests at the ceremony. As the ancient saying goes, “the banyan tree can remain evergreen for a thousand years,” which perfectly reflects the resilience and enduring vitality of Delta Asia Financial Group. Since its establishment in 1935, Banco Delta Asia is on the cusp of celebrating its 90th anniversary, during which the Au’s family has continually contributed to the financial industries of Macau and Hong Kong across four generations, providing strong momentum for the economic development of Macau, particularly in the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises. Looking ahead, we firmly believe that Delta Asia Financial Group will continue to thrive like a towering banyan tree, with deep roots and lush foliage, benefiting society.
To stay in tune with market trends, the economic and investment forum featured keynote speakers Professor Edward K.Y. Chen of the HKU Business School; Henderson Land chief financial officer Andrew Fung; and FWD Group chairman Professor Frederick Ma. The keynote sessions addressed a variety of topics, including the economic prospects of Mainland China and Hong Kong, development of the financial industry in Hong Kong as well as investment strategies in a turbulent market.
A networking cocktail followed the forum, creating a lively atmosphere where guests shared experiences and insights. This engaged them in deeper interactions that fostered mutual exchange and expanded their business networks.
This occasion not only pays tribute to the past 90 years of success but also presents a fresh outlook for the future!
