Miss Brenda Lam, Head of Group Marketing & Communications, attended the Children’s Heart Foundation (CHF) Academic Awards Presentation Ceremony held on 14 September. The Group has consistently demonstrated its commitment to giving back to society, with a particular focus on fostering the academic development of young individuals. This year not only marks the 8th anniversary of the partnership between the Group and CHF but also commemorates the 30th anniversary of CHF’s establishment. Over the years, the Group has sponsored nearly 80 students through the Academic Award Scheme. These award-winning students have showcased exceptional academic performances, with some already embarking on their professional journeys, while others are pursuing medical studies with the aspiration of providing compassionate care to patients.
During the ceremony, Miss Lam commended the remarkable academic achievements of the awardees and urged them to persevere in their pursuit of knowledge. She highlighted that acquiring knowledge not only broadens one’s horizons and enhances critical thinking skills but also establishes a strong foundation for future endeavors. Miss Lam underscored the significance of maintaining a passion for learning and encouraged students to be inquisitive, apply their knowledge in daily life, and thereby realize their potential and shape a promising future. She expressed her hope that each student would look up to the awardees as role models, stay committed to their academic aspirations, and continuously strive to overcome challenges and seize opportunities.
